Depending on how you use My Language Pal, Raitos Ltd may collect or process:
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status, and app settings.
- Usage data, such as review history, streaks, usage limits, and sync state.
- User-submitted learning content, such as typed phrases, submitted speech audio, translations, explanations, and saved cards.
- Device and app functionality data, such as device diagnostics, operating system details, app version, and error information.
Why We Use It
We use this information to translate phrases, transcribe speech, generate text-to-speech audio, save flashcards, schedule FSRS reviews,
sync data between devices, manage subscriptions or credits, prevent abuse, fix bugs, answer support requests, and keep the service reliable.
Local And Offline Learning
My Language Pal is designed around local learning. Saved cards, review state, cached text, and cached audio may be stored on your device
so you can continue reviewing offline. Clearing caches or deleting your account may remove local or synced copies depending on the action selected.
Service Providers
To run the app, we may share only the data needed for a requested feature with service providers for authentication and sync, AI translation,
speech transcription, text-to-speech, hosting, logging, payments, and customer support. These providers process data on our behalf or under
their own service terms where applicable.
Error Monitoring And Sentry
We use Sentry to monitor app errors and crashes. Sentry may receive technical details such as the error location, device type, operating system
version, and app version. Sentry is not intended to collect translation text, voice recordings, flashcard content, or personal messages, and we do
not use Sentry data for advertising.
What We Do Not Do
Raitos Ltd does not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not run a public social feed, publish your saved cards, or let other users view your learning history.
We do not add tracking cookies or analytics scripts to this static website in its current version.
Your Choices
You can change language preferences, prune or clear caches, sync data, restore purchases, sign out, and request account deletion from the app.
You can also contact support to ask for access, correction, export, deletion, or help with a privacy concern.
Retention
We keep account, subscription, usage, and synced learning data for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal duties, prevent abuse,
resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Local data remains on your device until you clear it, uninstall the app, or delete the account data tied to it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as authenticated API access, rate limits, provider credentials, and secure transport.
No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information as practice content.
Children
My Language Pal is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us so
we can review and delete it where required.
Changes
We may update this statement as the app changes. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date and, when appropriate, notifying users
in the app or by email.
